Firstly I wonder if anyone knows a site with the same info as this one
http://www.soccervista.com/England_1_Results.php only for Seasons 2005 & 2006. for some reason they dont have archives.
Three qualifiers this Week
FULHAM-BIRMINGHAM
MIDDLESBRO-PORTSMOUTH
READING-TOTTENHAM
Fulhams price of 2.3 compared to the 2.43 true price can be put down to their better recent form but getting involved in this must win both Teams game on the 1x2 is asking for trouble. I must admit to surprise that the Under is Fav in the 2.5 market considering the loser is as good as relegated and an attacking game is a certainty. These Two teams only keep the opposition scoreless 11% and 5% respectively, couple that with the fact that both Teams buck the odds and favour overs then the books view is confusing. Maybe this is a case of them seeing something I dont, if you do please comment but for now the Over 2.5 is looking the Bet in a game which caution will be unheard of.
On every conceivable stat Portsmouth would be slight favourites here but with nothing to play for and worry of missing the Cup Final hanging over them the Books have gone with Middlesbro. Adding Middlesbros inconsistent play and under the circumstances its hard to find reasonable grounds to have a bet so I'm passing.
This is a spot where People will say Reading are desperate to win and up against a Team who have nothing to play for which is probably the reason Reading is skinnier than should be. The fact is regardless of Spurs attitude Reading is on a 5 Game goal drought and up against a Team who has only failed to score in 4 out of 36 games. Not that spurs are anything special at stopping goals and the surprising fact that they have only won 2 games away this season tempers the urge to take on Reading. However, bad runs have a habit of continuing at the worst times for Teams and I'm frantically trying to find some value on spurs .
As always any views are welcome and please post any ideas for worth considering for next Season. :drink:
